Focal Plane Filter Transmission Tests

The filter transmission tests were performed to characterize the different focal plane filters that will be used for the Solar-B XRT. Each filter was tested at five different energies, and these are listed at the head of every column in the table provided below. It was found during the test that the DN/sec values for the open-open position varied slightly with time. As such, the ratio of the DN-sec transmitted through the filter is most accurate when the ratio of the flux during the open-open observations closest in time are divided into the measured flux using the filter. It should be noted that the source was verified to be stable during these images and the variation observed in the open-open fluxes was attributable to Poisson distributed noise. All of the filters were tested and all relevant data are provided below. Post-test analysis will compare these observed transmission rates to the predicted values.
