C-flare on Sept 27, 2012 (Filament Eruption)

At 23:30 UT on September 27, XRT observed a C4-class flare from NOAA active region 11577 using the Be_thin filter. The movie starts at the onset of the flare when the first reconnecting loops are visible. Later on the XRT flare response is triggered, which took higher-cadence images and offset the field of view to the center of the flare loops. In these images the flare core is almost saturated, while the surrounding loops are clearly visible. Keywords: Flare, CME, Filament Filters: Be_thin |
