Last week, Hinode ran a program that involved several pointing changes from the solar south pole to the north. During this time, XRT ran a CME flare watch program. These programs are designed to observe large scale solar events and the full disk when multiple targets exist on the sun.

In this movie, as we slew from south to north, you'll see bright loops forming near the top of a coronal hole, a candle flame cusp in one of the active regions and a coronal mass ejection.

XRT will be running more CME flare watch programs in the next few weeks to observe more of these events.
