Hinode scientists were tracking AR12434 to study active region jets when an active region hidden
by the solar limb emits a bright solar flare. AR12431 emitted a flare so high up in the atmosphere it was clearly visible even a
day after the it rotated behind the disk.
You can see the atmosphere grow bright in contrast to the dark solar limb with high beautiful loops.
Eventually, these loops begin to darken and fade as the flare ends and the region continues to rotate behind the disk.
