Magnetic fields dominate the solar corona but these fields are difficult study because we can't see them. We infer properties of coronal
magnetic fields by studying how they interact with coronal plasmas. This movie shows how a small flare can highlight previously hidden magnetic field
lines.
To the right of the S-shaped bright region is a horizontal loop that periodically brightens and shoots
out X-ray's that highlight some of the dark magnetic field loops. These structures don't remain bright very long as the X-Rays travel
along the long loops losing energy.
