Limb Loop Movie

The movie is a set of images taken of an active region on the limb of the
Sun. It is interesting to see the brightening of the active region and
the coincident(?) brightening of a smaller region just above the "2007"
label. How much do we really know about the implications of the active
region flaring on the global magnetic field? Also, would there be less of
an effect during solar maximum when there would be more active regions and
hence more chances of reconnections in smaller spatial area due to the
greater spatial density of active region?
