Active region flickering (click on image to see movie)
During observations of a weak active region on 06/03, XRT observed a persistent point-like flickering near the western edge of the X-ray loop system. Apparently a small source of magnetic flux repeatedly erupted, reconnected with the main overlying active region flux -- causing brief brightenings -- and subsided, only to "try again" later. A small B class flare can be seen at the end of the sequence.
