Eclipse of an active region (click on image to see movie)

On January 15 at approximately 8:47 UT, the Moon eclipsed the Sun from Hinode's point of view. The movie linked above shows the Moon eclipsing AR 11040 as it passes in front of the Sun. The low-signal area was binned with 2x2 or 4x4 pixels. Keywords: Eclipse Filters: Ti_poly |
