Twisted Loops in AR11100

XRT continuously observed the whole passage of AR11100 across the disk of the Sun. The image above shows AR11100 in the XRT Ti/poly filter with FOV 512x512 arcseconds, observed as a part of a AR thermal structure program. The image was taken at 14:46 on August 21st. It shows an arcade of twisted loops in the core of the AR. This structure seemed to brighten up and become prominent at several different times on different days during the evolution of the region. The AR also displayed a couple more similar reccurring structures and jets. Keywords: Filters: Ti_poly |
