Above is a movie of the 2015 March 20 solar eclipse observed by XRT. This eclipse was also visible on Earth. Solar eclipses happen only a few times a year and the next solar eclipse will happen on 2015 September 13. The most exciting solar eclipse event will happen in the summer of 2017 when most of the United States will be able to see a total solar eclipse.
