One day after exhibiting particularly long-lived jets, NOAA active region 11330 continued to provide interesting images. On 2011/11/01, a minor flare was observed following loop-brightenings that cascaded down through the adjacent loops. The attached movie shows XRT's view of the event alongside the 94 Angstrom images from SDO/AIA, which have been averaged over one minute, or five images, to match XRT's cadence and increase signal-to-noise. The sudden brightening (flare) that occurs around 17:21 UT is possibly the result of an interaction between the two brightest loops known as magnetic reconnection.
