Hinode XRT observed the active region, AR12567, bloom in the early morning of 24 July 2016. This rotated movie shows the active region while it was on the west limb. Four flares happen during the 5 hour observation run.
The first few flares involve small loops and are very close to the Sun. But the last flare is much brighter causing hot X-ray loops to form high above the active region making it appear much like a blooming flower.
