A Vigorous Jet from the Quietest Sun

According to the observations of sunspot numbers, we are now in the least active phase of the Sun's activity cycle, called solar minimum.

Although sunspot activity is weak, the Sun's polar region is steadily active emitting polar jets, including this vigorous one observed on 22-July-2019 from the North pole. The maximum height of this jet reaches about one third of the solar radius above the limb.
