Active Start for a (hopefully) Active Year

At the end of December, we posted a video highlighting the high level of activity that we saw in December 2022. Although Janaury and February didn't match December in terms of sunspot numbers, both months were very high in solar activity.

XRT regularly takes full-disk synoptic images of the Sun. These give us a full view of X-ray solar activity multiple times a day. By taking these images in different filters, we can see different features on the Sun. In the above image/video, take a look and compare each filter and notice the differences in what features are more defined in each!

Stay tuned for a longer version of this video that will update this previous XPOW and show synoptic summary of the solar cycle so far!
