Hinode experienced a solar eclipse when the Moon passed between it and the Sun on 9 March 2016. XRT observes a partial or total solar eclipse twice a year.
The most exciting solar eclipse will happen in the summer of 2017 when a total solar eclipse will be visible across the United States.
